A Concert by Candlelight featuring one of the pinnacle vocal works of the French Baroque: François Couperin’s Trois Leçons de Ténèbres (Three Lessons of Darkness). Originally composed for the nuns of the Royal Abbey of Longchamp, these poignant settings of texts from the Book of Lamentations will showcase the virtuosity of the voices alongside special guests Hannah Brewer (organ) and Adaiha MacAdam-Somer (gamba).
